Desert Flannel is a 5-star Beast Arcanist in Reverse: 1999, excelling as a crit-focused sub-DPS and support with strong mono-Beast synergy. Her kit revolves around self-counters, ripostes, and team-wide healing plus buffs via her Ultimate.

Role and Strengths

Desert Flannel deals Reality DMG through attacks like Mixed Doubles! (up to 450% at max rank with +25% Crit Rate/DMG in Pos./Counter status) and her Plappy riposte (150% Reality DMG with crit boosts). 

Her Ultimate, Beep Beep Bop Bop, Plappy!, provides mass heal (HP +100-160% of her ATK), 2-3 stacks of Power Burst (25% DMG bonus) to all allies, and Aura of Might (20% Incantation Might) to Beast allies. She gains Moxie per Beast teammate on entry and thrives in aggressive setups, though somewhat powercrept in mixed teams.

Best Psychubes and Resonance

Prioritize Psychubes boosting Crit DMG/Rate, Incantation Might, or healing for her riposte-heavy style. Top picks include Outside the City for massive single-target Crit DMG scaling on ripostes, Her Second Life for enhanced Ultimate healing (extra HP +64% ATK post-Ult), and Long Night Talk for 18% Incantation Might plus DMG if 2+ Pos. Status. 

Cracks in the Shell suits AoE fights, stacking team Crit DMG via ripostes; Family Mentor adds 24% ally Crit DMG.

Optimal Build Stats

Focus on Critical Rate to 99%+ (via 16% Psychubes and her kit), Critical DMG, ATK, and Incantation Might for sub-DPS output. At Insight III Lv.60, she hits ~1024 ATK, 6167 HP, 543 Technique (Crit Rate base). Use Placidity films if no Resonance for balanced Crit/ATK.
